                                   Tugu Lawet
Tugu lawet is a monument located in Kebumen District, Jawa Tengah Province, Indonesia. The location of Tugu Lawet has a close relation with the potential of Kebumen regency, which is the Swallow’s nest. Most of people Kebumen Regency not call Lawet but Walet. Seabirds of the Apodidae family whose nest is always hunted and the price is very expensive. Swallow's nest contains glycoproteins which can regenerate collagen. This is one of protein in human organ which make the skin smooth and glow. Tugu Lawet is located in centre of city, so it is very easy to find. Tugu Lawet is made to describe the activity and struggle of the people who hunt the Swallow’s nest in the caves on the cliffs of the southern coast of Kebumen district that is full of challenges and risks. The cave is famous by people which has population of Swallow. The shape of Tugu Lawet is irregular. It means the coral contours of the southern coast high-pitched. There are five human statues depicting the hunter as well as two statues of a giant swallow bird on the top of the monument. Five statues of humans wearing only shorts to describe the simplicity of ancient hunter.
Formerly Tugu Lawet Kebumen became the symbol of prosperity of Kebumen society from bird nest business, and hence became a monument of pride. Now the Tugu Lawet becomes a nostalgic monument, and a memorial statue that the exploitation of the uncontrollable grace of nature sooner or later leads to regret and inheritance of damages for the offspring.

  2. I think that we have to be more careful when we're passing the intersection of Tugu Lawet. The traffic can come from all of directions.
