Speak english is a demand as a student of English Departement. But in fact many student not confident to speak english. Many of them are too lazy to practice speaking so their ability is not increased. But there are many way to develop their ability in speak english.

Firstly, there are many english song in internet. Many of the students are interest with everything in internet. Surely they are not strange with Youtube. They can learn pronunciation with a english song by Youtube. They can learn and practice by theirself. Not only listen the song but also must practice the song frequently. So the pronouncation will increased.

Besides english song the student also can watch a film without using subtittle, so they can develop  their vocabulary and can find the new word. If difficult to remind the vocabulary, the student can write it in to a memo and the student can re-read every morning.

Fourth, the student must practice speaking frequently. It is very useless if the student just listen and watch so practice is big part to be confident in speak english.

The last is the environment. The environment must support them to be confident in speak english. Sometimes, the environmet not support the student. For example, many people mock the student who try to speak english so they feel not confident to speak again. So the environment gives big effect to it.

Nasyiatul Aisiyah Open Recruitmen

Purworejo- Nasyiatul Aisiyah (NA) held a regular monthly meeting on 27th May 2018 at SD Muhammadiyah Kutoarjo. The meeting was attended by teachers from Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Kutoarjo and some English Education of Muhammadiyah University Purworejo.
This meeting is held for monthly meetings and also to find the new members of NA.

This organization is a youth organization which is one of Muhammadiyah autonomous organizations. One member of "NA" is Menik Widyawati M. Pd. She said "For all of you who are interested, let's join NA".

Menik Widyawati M. Pd said that the organization is friendly for a child "We as mother can ask our child, so keep taking care our child" . Ms. Menik also said NA has some programme. That are zero stunting, zero stunting is a condition in which an infant is malnourished in the first 1000 days and this condition is inherited. NA helps every family which has this problem. Besides, to the social field NA is also engaged in education. NA helps children stop study which is caused by poverty or anything else.

After that the event continued with the training to make crafts by knitting. This agenda be itended to make everyone income money. Besides engaged in social and education NA also teaches to have the skills and the entrepreneurial spirit.

The mentor are miss Niken and miss Dewi. They are from English Education Purworejo Muhammadiyah University. "besides can produce our handcraf we also can pray subhanallah subhanallah" told Niken one of the mentor.

Englis Study Centre (ESC)
                 

ESC is one of student organization in Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo. This organization is for all of department in Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo not only for English Department.

ESC was formed in 6 March 1998. Firstly this organization was famous as women's organization because all the member was women. Now, not only the women join this organization but olso but also the men.

The way to join this organization also very easy. Just bring KRS and personal data. After that do the interview about leadership and spirituality.

The purpose of this organization is to help the students in learning english. Besides, we can impact our career and our experience. Communicate with both individuals and large groups, and we will gain emotional intelligence as we develop new relationships. Another great benefit of student organizations is that we get the opportunity to network.

ESC has many event, that are: english course, social service, clean beach, comparative study visit and many else. The big event is english festival. This is held once a year. English festival followed by student senior high school. English festival consists of several races. That are spelling bee, news anchor, speech and drama.

                                   Tugu Lawet
Tugu lawet is a monument located in Kebumen District, Jawa Tengah Province, Indonesia. The location of Tugu Lawet has a close relation with the potential of Kebumen regency, which is the Swallow’s nest. Most of people Kebumen Regency not call Lawet but Walet. Seabirds of the Apodidae family whose nest is always hunted and the price is very expensive. Swallow's nest contains glycoproteins which can regenerate collagen. This is one of protein in human organ which make the skin smooth and glow. Tugu Lawet is located in centre of city, so it is very easy to find. Tugu Lawet is made to describe the activity and struggle of the people who hunt the Swallow’s nest in the caves on the cliffs of the southern coast of Kebumen district that is full of challenges and risks. The cave is famous by people which has population of Swallow. The shape of Tugu Lawet is irregular. It means the coral contours of the southern coast high-pitched. There are five human statues depicting the hunter as well as two statues of a giant swallow bird on the top of the monument. Five statues of humans wearing only shorts to describe the simplicity of ancient hunter.
Formerly Tugu Lawet Kebumen became the symbol of prosperity of Kebumen society from bird nest business, and hence became a monument of pride. Now the Tugu Lawet becomes a nostalgic monument, and a memorial statue that the exploitation of the uncontrollable grace of nature sooner or later leads to regret and inheritance of damages for the offspring.

Life Struggle

Unce upon a time there lived a smart girl, her name is Yuna. She came from poor family. She had one little brother but her little brother was very naughty. She always succumbed to his brother. Her mother really loved to his brother. Someday she wanted to continue his study in senior high school but her parents did not have much money to pay her school in senior high scool so she must finished her study in junior high school. When she had graduation, she met with her headmaster. Her headmaster asked to her “where did you continue your study?” she answered “ I did not continue my study Sir.” Her headmaster felt sad to hear that. After she had conversation with her headmaster she offered to school by her headmaster. She was very happy because it was her dream.
After graduation she came to her headmater’s home. She lived there until she finished her study. First time she was happy because she lived in nice home. She did not just live there and did not just enjoy the facilities. She must worked everyday. Before she went to school she must swept the floor, washed the clothes, and many else. She must waked up on 4 morning. She like a housemaid in that home. But when his headmaster saw that she prohibited to do that.  But her headmaster’s wife did not like with her. So she must did everything in that home because of his wife. Her headmaater was a kind person. He always gave her money if she went to school. His daughter was kind person too. She always asked Yuna to eat together. All of family liked Yuna except the headmater’s wife. She was really cruel.
One day she knew something that she was free in school. So headmaster not finance her school. She was realy sad to hear that. But she must last on that home because her headmaster promised after she graduated from senior high school he would find a job for her. So she kept stayed on that home altough she was like a housemaid. Day by day she passed. Sometime she felt tired but she remainded her family in her house. She must changed her life.
Three years she lived there. Finally she graduated from senior high school. She was really happy because she would have a job. But it did not on her expect. She must waited again to get a job. As usual she must did everything in that home. Sometimes she asked by headmaster’s wife to do her work. She must did her accountant work.
After a long time she waited, she gave a job by her headmaster. She got a job in Jakarta. She worked in Indonesian Bank. She was really happy to get that. She was enjoy her work. After 1 years she worked there she could give money to her family. She could build her house, bought cow, bought motorcycle. Shen could make her family happy. She could make herself happy. She could buy anything by herself.
Someday she met with someone who loved her. He came from rich family. She had relation for 2 years. After that she had marry with him.

Procedure text

How to make a sausage rolled

ingredients :

1.        4 big sausage.
2.       20 Tofu
3.       2 Eggs
4.       3 garlic
5.       Salt
6.       4 Candlenut
7.       Pepper
8.       Leek
9.       1 carrot
10.   Banana leaves
11.   Oil

Method :

1.       Grind the garlic, pepper, candlenut and salt to a thick paste in a mortar. 

2.       Stir the tofu with spoon.

3.       Chopped fine the leek and carrot.

4.       Mix all ingredients except sausage.

     

5.       Before use the banana leaves, put banana leaves under the sunlight to make it soft.

6.       To wrap the rolled, spread the tofu across the centre of piece of banana leaf. Lay a sausage on  the centre and then roll another tofu over it, covering the sausage.
    

7.       Wrap the rolled, forming like candy. Tuck both undrneath with toothpicks.

       8.       Place the big candy into a steamer to steam for 20 mins. 
     

   9.   Remove the sausage rolled from steamer, let it cold. Unwrap the banana leaf and cut the sausage rolled.
    

10.   Put the sausage rolled on egg.
   

11.   Fried the sausage rolled in hot oil.


12.   Serve the sausage rolled with chili sauce.

Between Sadness and Happiness

In this year I thought I would have a best year I could have because in January my sister would give birth at my house. I prepared everything to receive the new niece. I prepared a name because my sister asked to me to find a good name for her baby. My parents also did the same thing like me. My father painted the wall, cleaned the yard and repaired the door. My mother prepared everything related with cooking because the family from Jakarta would come to my house to celebrate akekah. My parents were happy because they had waited a grandchild for ten years. My sister and my brother-in-law also felt the same. They were very happy to have a baby. I thought their happiness completed.

On the next week my sister and my brother came back from Jakarta. But my brother just accompanied my sister. He came back again to Jakarta because he could not leave his work. But he would come back again when 28 January because on that day was the estimated date for baby to be born. So on the next day I accompanied him to the rail station. On the way he asked me to talk about my friend who died in accident and he asked to me what I felt. Of course I felt sad, but he said to me to pray for him. On the way he always asked me to talk.

Day by day I waited to see a baby. My all family also came to my house to give congratulation to my sister. But when 27 January my mother had a call from Jakarta and this was a bad news. I did not think before. My brother was sick. He was in ICU and his condition was very poor. My mother still hides this news from my sister. She confused about this. But when she tried to be okay and hide from my sister, there was someone who gave news to my sister. And I could not imagine this. It was very hard for me. And we decided to go to Jakarta because my sister forced my parents.

On the way we were silent one another, 12 hours we on the car. On 12.00 a.m we arrived on hospital. And I could not say anything. We just cried to see him. I could not imagine how my sister’s feeling. On the next day my sister checked her condition to doctor on the same hospital. The doctor decided to surgery my sister because her condition was weak. On 29 January my niece was born. We were very happy even thought my brother still in ICU. The doctor who checked my brother said that his condition was very poor. We just waited miracle from God. That was very bad news. But I could not talk to my sister and my mother. When I saw my sister on her room she looked happy and I could not say the truth.

On the next day when I was in my sister’s room I called by someone to see my brother. I ran to ICU. My brother was in critical condition. The doctor asked the nurse to call his wife. My sister came. She cried and held the pain for her surgical injury. I saw the doctor tried to save my brother and how powerless I am. I was in the room, and my sister kept calling him and she refused to let him go. I just stood there and did nothing.
